Playmobil Fun Park: Part 2

The kids had a ball riding on these rafts.
I saw at least one German kid fall off a raft into the pond. Luckily, it's only about knee deep.
Candace was upset because she didn't have a paddle

We then went to the indoor play area. It includes this beautiful princess castle that Candace and Abi didn't want to leave.

They also had this cool Viking Ship...
And this dungeon, among other things.
But the best part was the enormous indoor jungle gym.

They also had a little jungle gym for kids like Abi.

Doesn't she look proud of herself!
I don't know what this thing is called, but I call it the Spider Web. It's where we went next.Check out those biceps!
One of the best parts of being a dad is that you can play the same games your kids do and instead of thinking, "jeze, that guy's immature", people think, "wow, what a great dad!"
We ended the day with the kids playing on the swings.

Abi was tired and falling asleep. Time to go home!

Playmobil Fun Park: Part 1

Aimee and I took the kids to the Playmobil Fun Park outside Nurnberg, Germany. It's based on a brand of toys that is popular here in Germany. I had some of them when I was a kid, so apparently you can get them in the States too.

The park is separated into different theme areas. We started with the farm.

Abi got to milk a fake cow!
The other kids played on the slide.
The kids got to ride horses...

And a kitty.
The Fun Park is very popular, so there were a lot of stroller staus (traffic jams). Note the German dudes wearing capri pants. Are they popular in the States yet? I think they're kind of girly.

By coincidence we ran into the Wells family. Charles is A Co Commander in my battalion and a good friend of mine. His wife's name is Valerie and their little girl is Hailey. Charles' parents were visiting from Georgia.

This bank was part of the Wild West theme area.
After the Wild West we went to Noah's Ark.

Then we hit the Knight's Castle

After a little coaching and coaxing, Hadassah tackled the climbing wall. The first time she needed me to tell her where her next hand and foot holds should be, but on the second try she did it all by herself. Once she got over her fear she was a natural.

Isaiah gave up quickly, even after I helped him (we're going to have to work on that), but Candace gave it a real try.

All that climbing works up an appetite!
This gives me an idea...
After lunch it was time to play on the Pirate Ship.

Candace took the wheel, but Sheba took charge. She's kind of bossy... takes after her mother.
She gets kind of grumpy, too. Like I said, she takes after her mother.
